Different People have different views on being modest I believe being modest is simply not dressing to draw attention to your body by wearing things like low-cut shirts, shirts showing mid-drift, mini skirts, clothes that are too tight, or add to certain areas (breast, butt, etc) I also believe that girls should try to be as girly as possible and men as manly as possible because of the verse in the bible that says a man should not wear that which pertain unto a woman nor a woman that which pertain unto a man. (That's not the exact wording, that's what I remember) That is why I only wear skirts. Another place in the bible it mentions not wearing things which are for adornment which, to me, means jewelry that doesn't have a legit purpose besides decoration and overly sparkly clothes, painting nails or dying hair. An example of meaningful Jewelry would be a baptism cross necklace, friendship bracelets, Purity Ring, Class ring, wedding ring, engagement ring, Pocket watch necklace, Watches, etc. I also do not believe in tattoos, including non-permanent ones. As many of you may know Pentecostals (or most of them) do not cut their hair if they are a woman. This is because in the bible it says a woman's hair is her glory and it is a shame for a woman to have short hair or a man to have long hair.
What I personally wear:
I wear skirts that are under the knee, shirts that cover the armpit (except when I'm at home I wear cap sleeves), and I don't wear any kind of pants or shorts.
My Church doesn't force anyone to wear anything, They just be an example by wearing it themselves, and sell books talking about modesty and everything we teach in our church (Christ Gospel). As far as I've seen all they ask is that you dress modestly to church activities and don't apply makeup at the vanity (in some churches not my local one). But all that is asking nobody is being rude and forcing you to change your life.
