I'm looking around on pinterest at modest fashions and I am noticing alot of the stuff is really cute but some of it is really just vintage looking. Some of us, want to look modern and modest and not like some person who stepped out of the past. So here I have a comparing show of pictures of what looks past and what looks modern. (All my opinion of course)
Past/Drab | Modern/Fab |
Some of you are probably wondering why on the past ones so I'll explain just click read more
Well the reason why the first "Past/Drab" is there is because it just looks like they could stick here in a movie from the 80's and she would blend in, not that she looks bad, but it's just not modern.
Now I will explain the second one. The color-combo is excellent but to me it just doesn't look young. If you're like, 40 or older it would look nice on you.
The third one just looks like, to me, the evil lady from 101 Dalmatians. I know it was fashionable back then but that was quite a while ago and again only for someone older than 40. It would be super cute on a mom but only to something fancy, it would look weird just to the grocery store.
The Last one on the "Past/Drab" is there because it just looks vintage. I wouldn't recommend that dress for anyone over the age of 6.
And now for what I like about the other ones!
The first one I love because it looks so professional. yet young and beautiful. The second one looks a little nerdy but in a fashionable kind of way and I love it! I love the layered sweater with the pleated skirt it is so lovely. Would look nice with converse or heels. (Converse for me)
The Lace and Jean just is so beautiful together, I love it and the Maxi style of skirt makes it even more modern looking.
The last one I like because it's realistic, anyone can wear it, and it looks professional, fun, and modern. But It does look mature so it would look best on young adults and adults or 15+.
